We then go over the entire surface with a professional strength sealer to help protect it from staining and buff it to a shine. How often should I seal my granite countertops?
A professional cleaning and sealing is recommended to be done every other year. Granite is still porous, and some patterns are more porous than others. This is why it needs to be resealed. Sealing helps it resist staining and retain its luster.
