How do I know if my granite needs to be sealed?

Here is a simple little water test you can do to see if your granite needs to be sealed.
1. Spill a few drops of water on your stone.
2. Wait for approximately 5 minutes.
3. Wipe it dry.
4. If your stone did not darken, it's perfectly sealed.
5. If it did darken, it needs to be sealed, so give us a call.



Can you clean and seal my granite countertops?
Yes, Grout Kleen will clean and seal your granite countertops. We use a professional steamer with temperatures of up to 400 degrees to remove any surface dirt, bacteria, grease and grime. We then go over the entire surface with a professional strength sealer to help protect it from staining and buff it to a shine. It will be so deep in color and stunningly reflective that your friends will think you've had your kitchen redone.

What is the best product for daily cleaning of my granite counter?

How often should I seal my granite countertops?
A professional cleaning and sealing is recommended to be done every other year. Granite is still porous, and some patterns are more porous than others. This is why it needs to be resealed. Sealing helps it resist staining and retain its luster.
