Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why should I have you clean my tile & grout when I can simply mop it? Won’t that do the trick?
A. Mopping alone cannot achieve the kind of results that Grout Kleen can. In fact, when you mop your tile you often make the grout dirtier. Mops are soft while tiles and grout are hard. How can that work, except for surface dirt only. You may get the tile surface clean but the dirt on the mop gets shoved around and into the porous and rough grout, actually making it worse. We power down and focus on the grout for a deep and powerful clean.
Q. How often do I have to clean the grout once the Color Restoration Sealer has been applied?
A. We recommend you should clean your floor once a week using a Neutral Cleaner. Please follow the recommended daily maintenance procedure.
Q. How often do you have to re-apply the Color Restoration Sealer after the first application?
A. When combined with our KleenCare Maintenance Program, our Grout Color Restoration Sealer can keep your grout looking new for the life of the floor. As we do our maintenance cleanings we will touch up problem areas and recoat the floor as needed.
Q. What can I expect from the Grout Color Restoration Sealer?
A. Your grout will not only look as new as the day it was installed but will clean with ease. You will no longer have to scrub the grout with harsh chemicals. In fact, harsh chemicals will damage the sealer. A Neutral Cleaner will be all you need. Your grout will no longer be porous so soil that does develop over time is only sitting on top of the Color Restoration Seal and can easily be wiped off, compared to being embedded deep in the grout to become a stain.
Q. What items does Grout Kleen clean?
A. We specialize in cleaning wall and floor, tile and grout. If you have any kind of tile, we can clean it!
Q. Can you guarantee the results?
A. It is impossible to guarantee how clean a given area will look like. Some tile floors are thirty or more years old and have never had a comprehensive cleaning. However, even with these old floors we can often achieve great results and breathe new life into your tile. If the grout does not come as clean as expected, we would recommend a grout stain to achieve consistency, rather than a clear sealer. Before you replace it, you should try restoring it, as it may save you thousands of dollars.
Q. Do you offer any warranty on the Grout Color Restoration Sealer?
A. We offer a one year limited warranty on our Grout Color Restoration Sealer and can extend it for the lifetime of the floor when combined with our annual KleenCare Maintenance Program.
Q. I’m thinking of selling my home, should I put a new bathroom in or restore the existing one?
A. Most real estate investors agree that the three most important rooms in determining a home’s value are the Kitchen, Bathroom and the master bedroom. You can spend tens of thousands of dollars to totally replace these rooms but often you will likely see little profit after deducting these costs. However, if you spend just a few hundred restoring these key rooms you can add thousands to the value of your home and put money in your pocket! Even if you are not selling, proper maintenance is important to maintaining your home’s value and beauty and can prevent major health or structural problems before they happen.
Q. Wouldn’t it just be easier to replace my tile floor or wall tile?
A. There are many downfalls to replacing your bathroom or kitchen tile. First, the huge cost. Replacing a bathroom in the New Jersey area will cost you from $5,000 to $10,000 or more. Furthermore, you will have to give up your privacy and deal with work crews. You may also have to obtain building permits, deal with local inspectors and the huge mess and headache involved with the gutting of your bathroom. Next, you will have to buy all the needed tile and decide on a style for your new room. All this can take several weeks. Plus, what if you only have one bathroom in your house? That could be a huge problem. It takes very deep pockets to install new flooring. There’s the up-front expense, the cost of down time and the agony of construction headaches.
Not only that, putting down new flooring does not fix the problem. Eventually, you’ll be right back where you started with old dingy grout. If it got dirty in the past, it will get dirty again. The solution is in maintenance. Grout Kleen will maintain your tile floors and their grout.
The Grout Kleen solution can prevent the problem and make your grout and tile look like new again. Use us on a regular basis and you’ll never have to worry about bacteria laden and dingy looking tile and grout again. And, like washing your car, cleaning helps lengthen the life of your floors.
